IMIT Project Manager
Jean-Francois is passionate about bridging the digital divide across Canada’s Arctic. For the past 7 years, he has facilitated regional collaboration and communication between national and international stakeholders, funders and regulatory bodies with the goal to make the 'fibre dream' in northern Canada a reality.

Before joining the Government of Nunavut, J-F was the director of Tamaani, the Kativik Regional Government's Internet service that brought the first fibre to the home systems in Nunavik; completed the preliminary study work leading to a successful funding of the undersea fibre cable system for northern Quebec. Prior to this, he worked on major telecom projects for NATO in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

In his spare time, J-F enjoys playing music, painting and most importantly spending quality time with his family.
